The Track before Birth

Whether you’ve been around the block,
Or it’s your first time around,
You’ve heard the angels knock,
And stripped off your flesh if there was one.

Then sent to a rail track going ‘round,
In a cart in the glory of energy you are,
You see crowds and faces shuffle through,
Some smiling, others talking about you.

All you hear though are murmurs in the trench,
As they’re speaking each minute a million words;
They’re Indian, Texan, and perhaps even French,
With each face representing a million of the herds.

Finally, at a point you hear a click of your energy,
From all that you are and all that you can be.
Just like that, you’re sent in and you’re born,
And you can call this place… your new home.
